Chicken Lollipop Masala Dry | Chicken Lollipop Semi-Dry

  • 10 Chicken Wings

For Marination

  • 4 tbsp All Purpose Flour (Maida)

  • 2 tbsp Cornflour

  • 1 tsp Chilli Powder

  • 1/4 tsp Pepper Powder

  • Salt as per Taste

  • 1 tbsp Soy Sauce mixed with Vinegar

  • 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste

  • 1 Egg

  • Water for making batter for marination

For the Sauce

  • 3 Finely Chopped Garlic

  • 1/2 Cup Green Capsicum

  • 2 tbsp Spring Onion chopped

  • 2 tbsp Coriander chopped

  • 1 tbsp Soy Sauce mixed with Vinegar

  • 1 & 1/2 tbsp Schezwan Sauce

  • 2 tbsp Tomato Ketchup

  • Salt as per Taste

  • 1/2 tsp Cornflour

  • 2 tbsp Water

Step by Step

Chicken Winglet

  1. Convert the chicken wing into a lollipop by cutting off the joint and discard the winglet, then separate the joints and now it is divided into two parts.

  2. The wing has two bones, so run the knife in between the bones and separate the two bones now run knife around the thinner bone and with firm grip clean the bone properly.

  3. Bring the flesh in by pushing it out.

  4. Follow the same procedure with the thicker bone

  5. Roll the flesh and convert it into a ball

Chicken Shoulder

  1. Find the single thick bone and run knife around the bone and separate the meat from the bone and roll it into a ball of meat.

For Marination

  1. Add Maida in a bowl, then add cornflour, pepper, chilli powder, ginger garlic paste, salt as per taste, soy sauce mixed with vinegar and an egg and add water in parts while mixing all ingredients together to form a thick batter.

  2. Then add all chicken lollipops to the bowl and coat the chicken well and set it aside for 45 mins

Frying the Lollipops

  1. Take oil in a shallow pan for deep frying, heat it well or the chicken will stick to the pan.

  2. Once the oil is heated add chicken pieces in a groups of 3 or 4, don't over crowd the pan while frying, keep checking on each side to see if the chicken is frying well, once it's done take it off the pan and place it on a paper towel.

For the sauce

  1. Heat some oil in a pan, add garlic and fry until it's golden brown, then add capsicum, spring onions, coriander fry for some time then add soy sauce, schezwan sauce, salt as per taste, tomato sauce, cornflour and little water,stir it really well,let the water content reduce and then add fried chicken lollipops to the pan, mix and stir it all well, make sure each lollipop is coated well with the sauce, take the pan off heat

  2. Serve Lollipops with some schezwan/hot sauce
