Goan Peas Pulao in Cooker

5 cloves

6 Peppercorns

1 inch Cinnamon stick

2 Cardamom

1 Bay leaf

1 large Onion (chopped)

1 medium sized Tomatoes (chopped)

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

1/2 cup Green Peas

1 tsp Salt

1 cup Rice (Basmati Rice)

2 chicken stock cubes

1 & ¾ cup water

4 tbsp Oil


Wash the rice thoroughly and keep it aside.

Heat the cooker pan and add 4 tbsp oil. Once the oil is heated add cloves, pepper, cinnamon, cardamom, bay leaf. Then proceed to add in the chopped onion and fry it until golden brown.

Then add chopped tomatoes and continue to fry until tomatoes don't turn mushy.

Proceed to add green peas, rice, turmeric, chicken stock cube, salt & water. Mix well.

Cover with a lid and give it one whistle. Remove off heat and let it cook in the remaining steam. Open and mix it well. Serve it with any type of curry or dal.
