For Cake

  • 100 gms Soften butter

  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla

  • 1/2 cup Powdered Sugar

  • 2 Eggs

  • 1/2 Cup Flour (Maida)

  • 1 tbsp Milk Powder

  • 1 tsp Cornflour

  • 1/2 tsp Baking Powder

  • 1/4 tsp Baking Soda

For Custard Ganache

  • 2 tbsp Custard Powder

  • 500 gms Milk

  • 1 cup Icing Sugar

  • 1 tsp Cornflour mixed in 2 tbsp Warm Milk

For Dressing

  • Mango Slices

  • Fresh Cream

Step by Step

  1. To prepare the cake, mix the soften butter with powdered sugar and stir or whip until thick then add egg 1 each at a time until the mixture is thick and creamy.

  2. Then proceed to add all purpose flour (maida), milk powder, cornflour, baking powder and baking soda and mix it well until smooth.

  3. Grease a baking dish with butter and add the mixture and pre-heat the oven to 180 degrees and then place the baking dish in the oven and let it bake for 30 mins at 180 degrees, check with a toothpick once it's done.

  4. For the custard ganache, take a pan and add milk, in the cold milk itself add 2 tbsp of custard powder, sugar and mix it well , now switch on the gas and bring the milk to boil, stirring continuously add the cornflour paste. Stir it continuously until the mixture is nice and thick and turn off the flame.

  5. Remove the cake from the dish and slice it into 2 halves from between then proceed to layer it with some custard and mango slices, once you layer the bottom half with custard and mango slices, place the top half on it and then add the custard ganache completely and spread it all over coating the whole cake and then place the mango slices on top and decorate it with your imagination.

  6. Place it in the refrigerator for 3 - 4 hours for the custard to set in.

  7. Remove the cake from the fridge and cuts slivers and enjoy your Mangoful delight.
